Following our successful first gourmet tour to a traditional Thai restaurant on October 5, the Siam Society travel committee has planned a series of 3 more visits to sample cuisines from different countries. These gourmet tours will be led by Khun Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, Vice President of the Siam Society, who is well known for her knowledge of interesting restaurants around Bangkok. She will guide the participants through the meals with a critique of the dishes served. The ‘gourmet series’ will begin with a unique Indian repast on October 29; the second one on November 24 features a regional Chinese feast at the private residence of a former chef of one of Bangkok’s famous restaurants; the third trip will take place at Khun Bilaibhan’s riverside villa on December 22 when participants will be feted by an array of traditional homemade dishes based on her secret family recipes not found in restaurants.

* Monday, 24 November 2008 : Dinner : Chinese restaurant : 2,500 Baht
* Monday, 22 December 2008 : Dinner : Khun Bilaibhan’s riverside villa
: 2,500 Baht
Transport will be organised by the Society. Participants will be asked to arrive at the Society office by 5.30 p.m.
The cost of the entire series is 6,000 Baht which includes 3 meals plus transportation.
Alcoholic drinks are not included in the price.
